Whatever type of collection you have, the chances are that in most cases, it took a great deal of time, effort and money to accumulate it. With that in mind, it is very important to make sure you are going to get the best price to reward the collectors’ efforts. Webuycoins have the experience and track record of paying the best prices for all types of coin collections backed up by immediate payment.

This is quite simple to answer. As dealers buying and selling coins, we need to be constantly adding to our stock to keep the business moving forward. Therefore, we must pay top prices to ensure the constant flow of new material for our customers. Travelling around the country making derisory offers would result in zero purchases or new stock, and a poor reputation!

What do we buy?

Questions about selling your collection.

Pretty much anything coins related! Whether it be a single coin or a lifetime’s collection – we are interested. We buy coins from all periods, ancient to modern, and from all countries, regardless of value and condition. We buy specialised collections through to the modern limited-edition sets produced by various mints from around the world. We are also keen buyers of silver and gold coins especially sovereigns and Krugerrands, bullion coins, American Eagles and Canadian Maple Leaves. Running alongside our coin business, we also actively seek banknotes, from single examples to extensive collections and from all periods and countries, including errors, and additionally share certificates and associated material. Medals are also eagerly sought-after including military, gallantry, and civilian awards, plus sporting honours – especially football, cricket, rugby and Olympics. If you also have supporting paperwork, photos, newspaper cuttings, service books etc they can sometimes increase the value – so don’t throw anything away!!!!

NO – our valuations are completely free and without any deductions or commissions to pay!

If we arrange free transportation of your coins to our office, we only use a trusted global courier, and your collection will be fully insured whilst in transit and on our premises. For peace of mind, we suggest that you take pictures or videos of the collection before sending so you have a permanent record.

All our valuations are free and without obligation. If your collection has been brought to our premises and you choose not to go ahead with our offer, we will return your collection at our expense.

If we are carrying out a valuation on our premises, we endeavour to contact you by phone or email within 48 hours.

Specific Questions about coins

We have listed below some frequently asked questions about coins.

Emphatically NO! We would certainly advise you not to even attempt cleaning a coin as in most cases it will result in damaging both the coin and therefore the market value.

Certainly they could be. Coins are normally produced in their tens, if not hundreds of millions and so errors do occur occasionally. It is always worth checking with us first and uploading some photos if you can.

No, we buy literally everything coin related from ancient to modern. Modern coins are very popular but usually are only worth something if they are produced in silver or gold and come in a limited-edition box with a certificate, issued for example, by the Royal Mint. Modern UK 50p or £2 pictorial coins are often touted as scarce and can be seen on online auction sites for huge sums, but in most cases these coins are just standard circulated coins worth around the original face value.

Most Victorian Pennies are very common especially in worn condition. Many years saw mintages of over 10,000,000 even up to 50,000,000, and because of their longevity in circulation the majority have not survived in collectable condition.
